Rita Jacinto is a European destination bridal makeup artist based in Portugal, specialised in natural, long-lasting wedding makeup.

Her approach is simple: bridal makeup should enhance, never transform. The goal is for every bride to recognise herself in the mirror and feel confident, comfortable and truly beautiful throughout the entire wedding day — not just in photographs.

For destination weddings, preparation begins well before the wedding date. Rita guides brides through a consultation process where preferences, skin type and the overall aesthetic of the wedding are discussed in detail. When possible, a personalised trial is arranged; however, as many brides travel shortly before the wedding, the trial can also take place one or two days prior, or the look can be planned remotely in advance so the bride arrives feeling reassured and prepared.

Rita works with lightweight, luminous and highly durable skin-focused techniques designed to withstand tears, hugs, heat and professional photography, while maintaining an elegant and natural finish from morning until the last dance.

She works with both local and destination brides and regularly travels across Europe, including Portugal, Italy, Spain and other European wedding locations, attending the bride at her preparation venue (hotel, estate or private accommodation).

More than makeup, her role is to give each bride reassurance and peace of mind, so she can fully enjoy her wedding day feeling relaxed, secure and completely herself.
