Planning a wedding is exciting — and a little overwhelming. I’m here to make photography the easiest part of your journey. Here are the most common questions couples ask me before their big day (Wedding Photography FAQ):
1. Is our wedding date available?
My calendar fills quickly, especially in spring and summer. The sooner you reach out, the better — and if I’m already booked, I’m happy to recommend a trusted colleague.
2. How do we book you?
Once we’ve confirmed your date and package, I’ll send over a contract and invoice. A signed agreement and 30% retainer officially reserve your day.
3. What’s included in your packages?
Every package includes:
- A pre-wedding consultation
- A set number of hours of coverage
- Fully edited, high-resolution images
- An online gallery for easy sharing and downloads
Optional extras include albums, second shooters, and pre-wedding sessions.
4. What’s your style — natural or posed?
My approach blends elegant editorial composition with candid emotion. I gently guide when needed but prioritize capturing real moments, genuine smiles, and natural movement.
5. Should we include morning preparations in the schedule?
Absolutely. It sets the tone for the day and allows me to capture quiet, emotional moments — from dress details and handwritten notes to a mother’s touch and a father’s glance. Additionally, it helps you become accustomed to the camera in a relaxed setting.
6. What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
That’s completely normal! I’ll guide you gently and help you feel at ease. Many couples choose a pre-wedding or engagement session to build confidence and comfort.
7. What if it rains?
Rain can create magic. We’ll work around it with covered locations, umbrellas, and spontaneity. I always prepare a Plan B, and some of my favorite photos happened under unexpected skies.

8. How many group shots do we need?
We’ll create a list together to avoid stress. Assign a friend or coordinator to help gather guests. This keeps the process quick, organized, and fun.
9. Do we need a second photographer?
For weddings with over 60 guests or multiple locations, a second photographer ensures fuller coverage — from both your perspectives and extra angles of your guests and details.
10. How many hours should we book?
Most couples book 8–10 hours, which typically covers:
- Getting ready
- First look or portraits
- Ceremony
- Reception moments
I’ll help build a timeline that fits your day.
11. When will we get our photos?
You’ll receive a preview within 1–2 weeks. The full gallery will be delivered within 6–10 weeks, depending on the season.
12. When should we book our photographer?
As soon as your venue is secured. Many couples reach out 9–12 months in advance, especially for summer dates.
