Luce Brunerie
What comes to your mind when you hear the word “France”?
Do you think of the Eiffel Tower, Coco Chanel, or perhaps buttery croissants and the world-famous macaron pastries? For me, it’s all of that — but also endless lavender fields in Provence, majestic castles and châteaux, and the charmingly French comedies starring Louis de Funès.
Here at LaLaWed, we were curious: what is it like to be a wedding planner in France? French women are famously stylish — and surely that must mean brides are just as demanding. So we decided to interview our colleague, French wedding planner Luce Brunerie.
LaLaWed: Could you tell us a bit about yourself? How did you become a wedding planner, and how long have you been in the field?
Luce: My name is Luce Brunerie. I’m a French wedding planner and event scriptwriter. I’ve been working in the industry for two years now, having made a career switch into weddings.
LaLaWed: You mentioned changing careers. What did you do before entering the wedding industry?
Luce: I worked as a Chief Digital Transformation Officer (CTDO) for a restaurant chain in the Paris area.
LaLaWed: Many of our team members studied at the New York Institute of Art and Design and the New York Institute of Photography. Luce, did you study to become a wedding planner?
Luce: Absolutely! Education is incredibly important. I studied wedding planning and design at the Wedding and Business School in Bordeaux, France. The program was both theoretical and practical. So far, I’ve been involved in the planning and coordination of 15 weddings.
LaLaWed: How many weddings do you plan each year?
Luce: Around seven. My goal is to organize no more than 8 to 10 weddings per year, so I also have time to plan other celebrations — like engagements, milestone birthdays, gender reveal parties, and corporate events.
LaLaWed: Every professional has their “dream couple.” Do you have one? Describe your ideal client.
Luce: My dream couple is one that truly loves each other and wants to celebrate their love in France. Maybe they want to host their wedding in a fairytale château in Paris, a stunning villa on the French Riviera, or an intimate beach ceremony surrounded by loved ones. They are refined, discerning, lovers of beauty — and they want an unforgettable wedding weekend.
LaLaWed: The French are known for their personal sense of style, and we imagine that influences wedding planning as well. Do you have a specific theme or aesthetic you love to work with?
Luce: I don’t limit myself to a specific theme, but the red thread in all my work is elegance and refinement. I love adapting to my clients’ visions while bringing my expertise to the table. With my experience, I write, design, and coordinate weddings that reflect each couple’s personality and love story. My job is to turn your dream into a reality — from script to celebration, in France and beyond.
LaLaWed: I’ve always appreciated weddings with conceptual storytelling. Do you have a favorite celebration you’ve planned?
Luce: Right now, the most memorable is the wedding of Lisa and Frankie — a lovely couple from England who dreamed of a wedding in Provence. We’re currently planning their big day at Château de Valmousse for May 31, 2025. The ceremony will take place in a gorgeous French garden surrounded by waterfalls, accompanied by a classical quartet. The weekend will continue with a poolside party on Sunday.
LaLaWed: That sounds amazing! Do you have a role model in the wedding world?

Luce: I’m a big fan of Jean-Charles Vaneck. I admire his artistic work. He’s one of the great icons of the wedding industry. Being part of one of his projects would be a dream.
LaLaWed: As we wrap up our interview, have you ever visited Finland?
Luce: Not yet, but I would absolutely love to see Helsinki and Lapland. We often hear about them in the news here in France. Any recommendations?
LaLaWed: Of course! And when you come, we’ll show you the very best of Helsinki. One last message for our readers?
Luce: Are you dreaming of a wedding in France? You’re warmly welcome to get in touch. Let’s talk about your dream day!
Thank you, Luce, for this lovely conversation. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet you. You are always welcome in Finland.
